St Bede’s College is located on a 6 hectare site, less than a kilometre from the foreshore of Beaumaris Bay. As a Catholic school, it provides secondary education in the Lasallian tradition for boys from Years 7 to 12.
The scope of the renovation consisted of the removal of a decommissioned pool, the addition of a new glazed stair well, the complete modernisation of 16 GPCS, the renovation of two open plan lobbies, a new centralised staff office and two new Junior Science Laboratories. The laboratories make clever use of areas between existing columns, accommodating storage for equipment and tucking in the emergency shower. Clever, ergonomic and clearly signed storage was designed to reduce clutter and improve safety.
