The new administration building at Nunawading Christian College provides a landmark presence on the school campus, and is a much-needed facility upgrade for student and staff services and support. The external architectonic expression reads as a series of volumes that shear and slide, animating the building and reducing visual bulk. Pristine white brick is contrasted against aluminium cladding, with the staff spaces on the upper floor picked out in the cobalt blue of the school crest. The interior spaces are largely defined by neutral tones, relieved by warm timber laminate joinery and natural woodwool acoustic ceiling panels. Student services are confined to the ground floor, with the upper floor dedicated to staff offices, lounge spaces, and an outdoor terrace with magnificent views to the wider campus.
